BRANCH COAT & HAT RACK

Speculative, New York, NY

Project 2011
Completion 2011

The Branch Coat & Hat Rack prototype is a solid white oak coat/hat/bag rack that is half laboratory tube drying rack and half Nelson platform bench. The wall-mounted rack is shallow and provides a full-height backdrop to prevent wet clothes from staining the wall surface behind. A series of 18 staggered oak branches stem from the striated vertical drain board providing layered hanging in a compact footprint.
